The Ministry of Economy and its strategic partner, the Institut Sultan Iskandar, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, are organising the Sustainable Development and Innovation Advancement 2024 (SusDIA 2024) Conference with the theme Sustainable Horizons: Enhancing ESG Readiness to Drive Sustainable Development Goals.

Driving transformative change, fostering collaboration, stimulating innovative thinking and paving the way to realizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.

Conference Objectives

Assessing Global Progress

To conduct a comprehensive assessment of the progress of nations, organisations and communities in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Environmental, Social and Governance Goals (ESGs) by the target year 2030

Identifying Ongoing Challenges

To systematically identify and analyze ongoing challenges and obstacles that hinder the achievement of the SDGs and ESG. Particular attention will be paid to critical areas such as quality education (SDG 4), industry, innovation and infrastructure (SDG 9), as well as responsible consumption and production (SDG 12).

Encourage Networking and Sharing

To foster a collaborative environment by facilitating networking and building smart partnerships between universities, industry stakeholders, government agencies, the public, and the environmental sector. This initiative aims to strengthen collective action and improve joint implementation of the SDGs at national and international levels.
